Guys,

Right now I do normal day to day operation with DXB.

I have a special problem and I?m hoping there can be some resolution for it.
I?m active on HF and do weak signal work on the most common VHF and UHF
bands. I think you could visualize a logging problem for a single operator
station that wants to be able to monitor HF thru 1296 simultaneously, select
a radio and log a QSO.

In my station this means SO6R.

My shack computer has 10 com ports in it, so it?s capable of doing just
about anything I need to do

I?m in process of switching from a multiple all-mode setup to IC-756PROIII
radios with individual converters for 144, 222, 432 and 1296.

A problem using transverters instead of all-modes is you have a frequency
offset the software can?t read. If you are on 144.000 the rig will be
reading 28.000MHz. On 432.000 it would also read 28.000MHz. While I can
keep the radios square in my mind, the logger would indicate 28MHz no matter
what radio combo / band was selected. It would be nifty to have a
programmable frequency offset per radio port and a button on the menu bar
for each radio to activate it.

The next feature that would be neat is a frequency window or windows showing
the frequency of the selected radio. This would make the Offset issue
almost mute.

Let?s add a couple rotors too

To recap:

1. 6 radio interfaces
2. Selectable transverter offsets per port in 1.000MHz increments with a
quick activate menu button.
3. Running frequency readout window for the radios.
4. Four rotors

Thanks for the opportunity to discuss this.
