Amateur Radio operators, If you haven't done so already please take the time to write your congressman/congresswoman now about Navassa and Desecheo. This task will only take a few moments and is for those living in the US only. I'm sorry DX stations but at this time there is nothing you can do, other than to encourage US Amateur Radio operators to contact their representative. Even if you have worked both I am asking you to help out by writing your rep. Please go to http://www.kp1-5.com/ and click on the "Contact you Congressman". I would also like to ask each of you to then phone your representative within the next 7 days. This will help in the effort to get KP1 and KP5 back on the air. The main point you need to get across is that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is barring responsible Americans from these refuges while turning a blind eye to trespassers and illegal aliens entering these refuges at will.
