Hi guys,
I'm using DXbase 2005 with a K2/100 computer control.
Using a fast pentium with lots of memory and XP pro.
Changing frequencies from internet cluster seems very slow (4-5 seconds)
Logging a spot is also kinda slow.
I am using the K2 in radio.ini.
Everything is just very sluggish.
Everything is set correctly in user options and the com port itself.
Have tried other com ports with the same results.
Also tried closing packet window, still slow.
Have tried a couple other programs and everything runs very fast on them.
Can anyone offer other things for me to check?

Thanks

The obvious question is:
"Is anything else running on your computer?"

And try this.
turn off rig control.
Now try to log a station from the Internet Cluster or DX Info windows.

That will give you a clue.
I find that the logging of a spot without rig control is almost instantaneous
but there
can be a lag if I have to 'jump' to a Frequency and change mode on my Yaesu
FT1000MP.

You can do a crtl, alt, delete, switch to PROCESSES, and watch what is grabbing
cpu
cycles.

and curious if you use something like Writelog, does the jump seems slow also?
one item that is a long shot...what stop bit setting does the K2 interface
require.
I think I read the K2 emulates a Kenwood???
Hope this gives you some clues.
