Exactly correct, in fact I frequently spot stations I don't need to work but
are still
'rare or needed' by many.

(and there was the time I was tuning and hunting for one of the recent 'new'
countries to
come on rtty. I found them, spotted them, was the second person to get through
and had a
printout of it, and the pile descended, the op hit the wrong button and the
first 10 qso's
were wiped from the log).

Not everybody works the DX before posting a DX-Spot.

Subject: [Dxbase] DX Posting

I'd like to request a change in the DX Posting shortcut in DXBase. The
current shortcut "re-reads" the frequency data when the shortcut is created,
rather then using the historical log frequency(s) data. If you have changed
frequency, before you create the post, the frequency data is wrong. It would
be better if the DX Post shortcut would read the frequency(s) data from the
historical log data.
Thanks,
Merle - W0EWM
