Hi Folks,

Well, its that time again and we have finally closed out the development
effort for DXbase 2006. Beta testing is complete and we are in the process
of getting things ready for the new release to be made available. If all
goes well, we hope to have our web site updated in the next three or four
days.

This year, we spent a lot of time reviewing the suggestions that were sent
directly to us and we managed to complete about sixty enhancements/changes.
Some of the highlights include some expanded fields in the log such as notes
and wpx; some new fields; substantial updates to the prefix tables and wpx
logic so that DXbase is even more accurate than ever in this area; county
and state fields are available for labels; The width of Previous QSO window
and others are now resizeable; added about 2000 new manager listings; new
query options in Previous QSO module for Mode + prefix, state, etc...; added
stats for combined rtty and digital; opr call is now used to determine what
labels are printed; completely redesigned field order module making it
simple to set up your column orders; new utility for performing backups; new
utility for compacting and repairing your database; new utility for adding
cd info to your existing QSOs; lots of new reports; and a lot more....

We will also have DXbase 2006 available at the upcoming Dayton Hamvention at
our usual location booth 455. Looking forward to seeing many of you there.

More later.....please hold your questions about the release until after we
can get our web site updated.

Thanks,
Jack
