Thats what I called the txt file my mistake I ment INI. Sorry. First time I
installed one of Joe's files. Now I know what to do with it. I moved the RPT
file to the REPORT DIRECTORY and the INI command I copied what was in the
RPTDESC.ini to the RPTDESC.ini in DXbase2005 and it worked.. Many thanks for
your help. It was a big help to me. It all makes sence to me now. I have
been away from modifying windows 3.0 commands and changing stuff it just did
not ring a bell. doing this brought back some good old memories.

Subject: [Dxbase] LoTW statistics and pre DXB200* logs
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Not recalling any mention of this I don't know how many people are
aware of it but there's a duplicate QSO thing that throws your totals off.
I'm talking about the exact same DATE and TIME but 2
different MODES for the SAME QSO. Here's the scenario: When LoTW first
got rolling I, and a lot of other folks, were either using earlier logging
versions or had imported ADIF from the early versions into DXBase 200*
The older logs gave the choice of emmision types A1,A2,A3 (CW, RTTY,
PHONE) - DIGITAL modes were logged as A2.
I was entering the actual mode in my notes. Some PSK31, MFSK, Hellschrieber
etc were officially logged as RTTY and were exported to ADIF as RTTY. Later
as people corrected the modes using DXB200* which recognized the digital
modes they were often sent to LoTW again. Now there are duplicate QSOs for
the same contact but two different modes. LoTW says it won't matter because
you have to have a match to get credit for the QSO and at this point there
are no
separate awards anyway. Be assured I have some matches from this because
other people were doing the same thing. The goods news is that you can
locate these by using the lotw_dupeqsos.rpt. I had about 30 to correct.
These errors cannot be corrected in LoTW however.
Not the biggest thing around but something to be aware of. If you did all
your
LoTW entries using the newer programs that recognized the newer Digital
modes
this won't affect you.
