Thank you for disproving my XYL's contention that I am slowly going nuts!
At least in this case!  I connected to the K1TTT node as you suggested and
viola, no problem!  When I send the test spot it shows up in both the
Internet Connection window and the DX info window a few seconds later.  So,
as you have discovered, DXB is not the problem, but there is some setting in
the N5IN node that prevents the spot from being echoed back to the
originator.  Curious to say the least.  Oh well, thanks to you and all the
others who wrote with ideas and suggestions to stamp this one out.  Now on
to VE7CC's page and try to figure out how to make his stuff work!
