To all: A thought to be able to help each other .. if anyone out there has "optimized/adjusted" their radio.ini file -- so that your own radio equipment would work 100% correctly with DXbase, could each of you pse send me your radio.ini file to me, with the following info also included:
(1) Your primary Radio brand/model that the radio.ini is optimized for (2) Any other Radio brand/model that the radio.ini is optimized for What I would like to do - is to consolidate all of the inputs and post something to my website... Hopefully, most of the brands and models will be accounted for - by the time we hear from everyone who has modified their radio.ini file ... Tnx!! 73 Joe WA6AXE From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Sep 8 19:22:46 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Joseph Glockner) Date: Thu Sep 8 19:28:37 2005 Subject: [Dxbase] One more file I would need for the RADIO help -- Joe wa6axe Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To all: If you are going to send me your radio.ini file that is in your DXbase main directory/folder ... pse also send along your dxb20nn.ini file ... The dxb20nn.ini file is in your WINDOWS directory .... I showed it as dxb20nn.ini because some of you might have it as dxb2005.ini and some as dxb2006.ini -- whatever is the version of DXbase that you are running .. I forgot that the Radio1 and Radio2 extra details are in the dxb20nn.ini file ... Tnx in advance !! Now Jack is a nice fellow and all, but I would rather have my info on the card. I have almost scratched a hole in the top of my head trying to figure out what I missed. I suspect the answer is in front of me, even cleaned my glasses and still don't see the answer. I was wondering on the Radio-1 and Radio-2 tabs do you have DTR High, RTS High or CTS picked for either of these rigs? I vaguely remember messing with these items a few years ago and noting a difference, or at least I think I saw a difference. So wondering what you have. I just reinstalled DXBase 2006 hoping to fix my communication problems between DXBase and the radios. For some reason a number of my personal options were missing and I had to fill in a number of blanks, unfortunately and hope I have them all. You rung my bell and I now have my FT857D working. Under tools, user options, radio 1: I have serial, DTR RTS CTS boxes checked, 4800 baud, 8/2/none now and it flew at the next alt-Q. Happy day! These setting may compensate for cables or computers. One relearning curve behind me. Bob Main wrote: > I have a Yaesu Mark V and a Kenwood TS-870.
