Hi Joe, I never said that I was trying to print DATA from the card design module. It just simply seems to me that if one wants to design or modify an existing card then one should be able to see the final output - in print - with ones own call and address.
What if I just wanted to print a blank QLS card? Yes I know I can modify the fields to use text, but would it not make more sense to use same variables used in DxBase logging software? Where are the 'defaults' hidden in the design module. Can I not put my personal info in the design module somehow? Thanks for the reply Joe, 73 Eric. -----Original Message----- From: Joseph Glockner Sent: September 9, 2005 11:54 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: DXBase Reflector Subject: Re: [Dxbase] Duck QSL Card -- more info Eric Eric, YOU are going into the DESIGNER Module itself --- "if" you are strictly wanting to PRINT your qsl cards (using the Duck QSL card) -- then DO NOT do that from within the Labels Deisgner Module !!! YOU will always PRINT your QSO data by going to the Main Menu / Output / User Designed Labels ..... This is the ONLY way that DXbase can actually pick-up the QSO data from the labels pending database!! IF YOU are wanting to "modify" the structure of the current DUCK QSL file -- then YES - you change that from within the Label Designer Module -- BUT, be aware that what you see as the DEFAULTS for the various "Variables" in the Label Designer Module -- are nothing more than "Defaults" that Jack put in to let you know what kind of data each variable is ... BUT, AGAIN --- YOU NEVER EVER print your qsl card data from within the label designer module -- NOT EVER!!!!!!!! 73 Joe
