I just finished doing my monthly QSLing. The functionality of DXBase is really great, particularly in responding to QSL bureau cards. I, of course, use the "Previous QSOs" screen a lot.
1. The QSOs in this screen need to be in date order and they are not. I would like to be able to click the top of that column and have it sort by date, call sign and/or band. When I have several QSOs with someone I like to include as many QSOs on the QSL as possible, even if they didn't send me a QSL. I want to be sure to include QSLs for QSOs that I haven't already sent. 2. I would like to be able to adjust the size of the "previous QSOs" screen so that I can see all the information. I like to know if I have sent a previous QSL, if I have a LOTW QSL, etc. I have a 19" flat screen; I can imagine it would be a much bigger problem if you were using a 15" monitor. I know I can adjust the size font, but then I have to be 3" from the screen to read it. (It's a trifocal thing!) 3. When I make a mistake and enter incorrect information in the call sign column and press enter or tab, the software automatically enters the appropriate country, prefix, etc in the appropriate columns, just as it should. The software has no idea that I didn't copy the callsign correctly. Now if I fix the callsign and hit enter the software doesn't correct any of the other columns. So if I initially thought the call was JT1CO and enter it that way and on the second transmission found that I was really working WT1CO, I have a problem. I either have to delete the entire entry with any associated information like QTH/Name etc, or remember to go back and fix the appropriate columns. If not the computer sill assign WT1CO as Mongolia. I would like to have the software update the appropriate columns after the callsign has been changed. Maybe use a cntr/enter or something. All three of these suggestions would be of great help to me.
