DXBase is so customizable (is that a word) that it can be all things to 'most' people. I'm not interested in certain aspects of the hobby, so I don't really need a file that contains those data elements. But I am interested in IOTA, so I update the occasional new IOTA entry. I no longer update managers and their addresses, as those are so readily available on the web. But when W3HNK announced his new mailing address, I updated that one as it's a constant and frequently needed entry. I find adding the occasional new prefix or iota information no more difficult or time consuming then updating my Quicken checkbook. Without the ability to enter what I want, when I want, we would have to wait and watch for updates. I would rather enter info I need my self, that download a new file that may, not have or overwrite info that I want to keep.
