Basically, what it says is...that USB cables that have the common node type ferrite chokes on them, can cause a loss of signal.
Probably a shot in the dark. http://www.tdk.co.jp/indiv/nec/usb20/p3/usb20p3.htm When I had DSL which ran to router and extra hub, I had what I called 'micro-outages'. Never got a handle on it. Now we have cat6 cable, much heavier shielding, I bought a few and found less rfi effect. Same with the new RG6 TV cables. I've found that when I had problems that no one else was reporting....that usually, it was something wrong with MY system. I used to have a wireless mouse that would lock up. No one else reported it. By happenstance I found that if I put the mouse charger/receiver on the floor my lockups went away. No change to cable, connector etc., just location. I had a problem with my Comcast Cable feed. If they had an outage, my modem router, would never come back online...till I switched to a cat6 cable between the modem and router. So basically what I'm saying is....when you have a computer/radio problem, that appears unique, keep trying cables, moving components, plugs, adapters, etc. Any part made by man, can fail, or not be up to standards. ----------------------------------------------------- To some it's a six-pack, to me it's a Support Group.---Salvation in a can! ----------------------------------------------------- Bill H. in Chicagoland webcams at http://24.14.49.4:8080 weather at http://hhweather.webhop.org
