To all VHF/UHF users: I have just posted the newest of the DX Atlas "Pins" generating reports.. This one is for the VHF/UHF users out there. The report can be downloaded from, screen-shots viewed at, and full instructions can be read at (accessed via):
http://www.navycthistory.com/wa6axe/selection.html The first entry is the LINK to the newest report's webpage. Without the superb efforts of John (KE5RS), this report could not have been done.. John sent me a full file of ALL of the 32,400 4-char GRIDs of the world (center location for each GRID).. a truely monumental effort on John's part!!! TNX so vry much John!! :-)) 73 Joe WA6AXE From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue May 16 09:15:59 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Greg Tomerlin - K4KO) Date: Tue May 16 09:20:20 2006 Subject: [Dxbase] Re: DXAtlas Pin generating report for VHF/UHF Grids - Joe wa6axe Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Joe, FANTASTIC! It works exactly as I hoped one would. Simply fantastic. Attached is a snapshot of my first report. Although not evident in this image, I discovered I had more grids on 6M in Europe than I thought. Again, THANK YOU JOE. FB addition to DXBase!!! 73 Greg K4KO EM66ud From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue May 16 17:53:31 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Joseph Glockner) Date: Tue May 16 17:57:55 2006 Subject: [Dxbase] DX Atlas - DXbase users who are into IOTA's Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> IOTA users of DXbase, Has any DXbase user, who also is using DX Atlas, downloaded the IOTA.lst file from the DX Atlas website? The IOTA.lst file I am speaking about was made by "G?rard 14SD330" .. Reason I ask this question, is that I downloaded that file (BIG file in size - with 92000+ entries) from the DX Atlas website - only to find out that the file does NOT act correctly. I asked Alex, the author of DX Atlas program, and he replied that the file is just TOO BIG in the number of entries. He said that it was acting strangely because DX Atlas has a limit of 65536 entries per list!!! What I was seeing is that when I put my mouse cursor over an IOTA (such as AF-015 or AF-017) -- the hint text bubble window "did not" show AF-015 or AF031 info .. it was displaying information about OC-266 (for AF-015) and AS-137 (for AF-017). Knowing that that IOTA.lst file was just TOO BIG, I am in the process of amending the entries to a size that the DX Atlas program will accomodate. Has anyone else experienced this same abnormaility in the IOTA.lst file? 73 Joe wa6axe
