Very correct Fred.
Most manufacturers say that memory sticks/chips are good for 2K cycles.
That's why they should be a 'part' of the backup system, but not the only 
part.
But if you figure 1 backup a day, you will be ready for a new computer 
around the time they wear out.




BTW DO NOT be tempted to rely on the use of a USB memory stick (USB key
drive.  I recently ofund out that these have a quite limitted read/write
cycle life time.  Ok for sharing files in real time but now I know more
about them O would not use it for anything else
