Tom, I am fairly certain that the only way the symptoms you describe can occur is if your cluster is not responding to your commands, or there is just huge delays in your connection. The fact that DXbase did not give you any error message means that you did establish a connection to the IP you have selected. But, after that, your cluster host controls what happens.
