To all:

Art W1RZF has sent me his logbook mdn file and with that
file, I have confirmed that "for sure" -- if:

The DXbase user is in a SSB/PHONE contest and is using
another Contest program (like N1MM or Writelog, etc..)
to log the QSOs -- and, the user generates a CABRILLO
formatted file to be "signed" by TQSL and uploaded
to the ARRL LoTW website .. THAT process "will" create
a MODE of PHONE on the LoTW website!!!!!!

If the user then imports a "normal adif" file of the
contest QSOs into DXbase - the qso is then in your
DXbase logbook -- great so far??!! Well, when you
"download" your LoTW QSLs from the LoTW website -
the QSOs that have a MODE of PHONE -- will STILL have
that MODE in the LoTW QSL adi file...

at this point, if the user doesn't use a text editor
(like wordpad, etc) to change the MODE of PHONE over
to USB, etc ... then - when the user does their LoTW IMPORT
-- ALL of the QSOs which have a MODE of PHONE will (for sure!!)
create a duplicate QSO entry in your DXbase logbook file!!!!!!!
This is happening because PHONE is "not" a VALID MODE under
the ADI speficiations.. and Jack's IMPORT program handles it
as if it were a Digital QSO with a Submode of PHONE !!!!!

I am working on a standalone exe file that hopefully!!??
will find and correct the mistakes made by the ARRL LoTW website's
server NOT CHANGING those PHONE mode QSOs to SSB, etc when
you are downloading your LoTW adi confirmations...

If you NEVER use the Cabrillo format to upload to LoTW website -
then you ARE ALL OK!!!

If you DO USE Cabrillo -- you will have DUPLICATE QSOs in your
logbook..

More later on ...
