Why not just put a shortcut on your desktop. Right click "D:/" (or
whatever you want) and from the drop down list select,"Create
Shortcut". Depending on what the item is it may say that it can't place
it here and do you want it on the desktop. In this case you do, so
click yes. If you're creating a shortcut to a single folder or file, it
will place the new shortcut in the folder you're currently working with;
just drag it to the desktop and rename it if you prefer.
I have a shortcut on my desktop that points to the actual path to DXBase
files that Vista uses, as AL9A points out. I discovered this
characteristic of Vista some time ago and thought I shared it here, but
it may have been in private email between Jack, Joe and me.

Open "My Computer"
Right click on your "D" drive.
Click on "Create Shortcut"
It will tell you it can't create the short it ob this screen, but it will put
it on your desk top.
Click "OK"
You can then rename the shortcut to something meaningful to you, like "D Drive"
I put all by drive on my desktop this way for rapid access.

Subject: [Dxbase] DXbase to Laptop
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Hello,
I want to run my DXbase on my laptop this weekend
for a portable operation. I want to export my log to the laptop
and the current layout and settings from the shack computer.
What files should I import or copy over to the laptop DXbase directory.
Thanks
Joe

JV,
Did anyone send you the information for adding E7 to the
Database? If so, would you either post it to the Reflector or forward it
to me? Thanks.
