have fixed the date problem but still having a problem with the time having to 
enter it twice everytime i add a qso. any ideas? could not find any thing under 
tools so far thanks   joe  kl7lf

Larry,

Do not "x" out the sub windows.  Use the "-" minimize button.  This hides 
them out of view and keeps them that way after you exit DXbase.  When you 
restart, they will remain minimized.
