Joe and Jack - thanks for the help, at least I'm getting closer. Seems to me 
that some time ago, I did get it to start up with just the log screen, though.
Now after minimizing the windows I don't use, it starts up with the "DX Info" 
window, which I can then minimize again, then there's just the QSO Log window 
(about half size, which I can then maximize.) Also, the Internet cluster is 
down at the bottom of the screen, which I don't use. So I'm getting closer, and 
have only a few windows to play with now to get to the Log screen. This is on 
both my laptop and my desktop PCs. I've done a complete restart to see if that 
fixes it, too.
