Subject: [Dxbase] Printer

Hello all,

I'm looking for a new laser printer for the sole purpose of printing
envelopes and directly onto QSL cardstock. I had an HP-6L that was really
great (until I put a clasp envelope through it one day -- sigh). It had a top-loading straight paper path, but of course that style
is no longer available and nobody stocks parts for it or can fix it for
under the cost of three new lasers.

I've tried 6 different HP and Samsung models so far and all are regular
small-office style printers that can only print with a U-shaped paper
path - which destroys or severely curves cards. Ideally I'm looking for a
networkable printer because I want to place it nowhere neither either PC
in my shack, but that's secondary to a straight paper path. I won't have
access to the back of the printer (it's in a very tight corner).

I'm NOT interested in any inkjet of any kind, regardless of features or
price.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Peter,
W2IRT
