It sounds as if it could enable me to run a control or other logging program to control my FT-2000D and DXbase. Since DXbase doesn't poll the radio, I can't control my SteppIR with the radio and DXbase.
Another control program, N1MM, Yaesu's free PCI-2000, Commander, or whatever, running at the same time and off the same COM port as DXbase should do the trick, which is a very big deal to me. I'll check it out. Thanks, Chuck. In my case, this program allows me to use AA6YQ's free Commander program for CAT of my K3 along with DXBase 2007. I downloaded the VSPE and set it up in "splitter" mode to split my PC's serial port so that applications can share communications. One caution-- on (very) rare occasions, there seems to be a conflict and DXBase logs the wrong frequency. 73, Chuck NI0C
