Paul, These are note from my station log. (I think they are from a previous post here).
de Eric Ve3gsi >From my notes: Enabling WinKey Speed Pot For those using DXBase 2006 who would prefer to use the WinKey Speed Pot instead of DXBase's internal CW Speed Control, it can be accomplished as follows: In the DXBase WinKey Set-up: Tools | Options | CW Options | WinKey Options | WPM Settings Set Speed = 0 and Pot Range = 255 Set Min to the minimum speed you want on the Pot and Max to the highest speed. For example, I use 10 and 40 for most purposes. Now, as long as you do not use the DXBase "Increase WPM" and "Decrease WPM" commands at the right end of the DXBase CW toolbar or at the bottom of the Output | CW Messages menu, WinKey's Speed Pot will be active - including for the DXBase CW Message buffers. Once you use the DXBase "Increase WPM" or "Decrease WPM" commands, WinKey will ignore the Speed Pot until it is reset. This "trick" is possible because Speed = 0 has a special meaning for WinKey ... it resets the keyer speed to that of the Speed Pot. - - - - - - From: K8PO Subject: [Dxbase] MK2R+ CW Speed Hi, how do you enable the speed pot? Works well will Wintest. Thanks for help, Paul
