Bill, If you are using DXBase 2007, I think most people just use the 'No LoTW Submitted' option found in the Filters section of the Wizard tool. No guess work with dates that way!
Then when you encode the outputted .ADI file with TQSL for LoTW there is no need to select any dates for encryption. If you are using an earlier version of DXB someone else will have jump in. But if you are filtering by date and not getting any output file, my guess you have another option checked in the wizard filter. Also Joe, WA6AXE has a neat tool available on his website that will make LoTW uploading a little more easy to do if you wish to go that way.
