All, Thanks again for the replies!

I've reinstalled DXBase 2007 and done all the resetting of my parameters and
window sizes etc, etc... After doing all that I discovered in the Help files
(imagine that - I looked there) and found this entry:

"Toolbars Vanished" when searching for Toolbars. Following that procedure gets
the normal toolbars back which would have solved one problem. The other problem
of not Exiting properly (program not responding) is being caused by my new
Virus checker "Vipre" from Sunbelt Software. If I shut it down first, then all
is well. Restart it and the DXB shutdown problem starts up again. Someone
commented to check the easy things first. I knew that I should have done that,
but just had a mental slip at first.

Hope this information helps someone in the future. Thanks again for the help
replies!

73,

Rod
