Steve,

At the top of DXB where you have menu selection try:  TOOLS | CUSTOMIZE
instead.
It is possible to turn on and off your icons there as well, or if all else
fails press the RESET button here. You mention that you have a TOOLBAR1
option and that means you have been editing some toolbar options and a reset
maybe your answer to restore the missing icons.

Hint - For the icons I use most, in Customize, I simply create a toolbar
called VE3GSI and add only those icons I require. This means I can turn off
most of the other tool bars for a cleaner looking DXB window.
