Thanks Keith I would appreciate if you (and everyone else) would read my latest entry in my blog ( http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/blog/ ) that discusses the options of that. My concern is the amount of user-customization that occurs with the reference files and what would happen if I would automatically update them, thereby losing any customization that users have applied to these files.
My tendency at this moment is to declare the reference files to be "internally" managed and so I can update them when new changes exists. This means that users would lose any changes they made to them, but I do not see many other good options available. I think most people would prefer to have automatic updates in a timely manner than to have to download an updater (although what would we have done without these utilities from Joe otherwise!) 73 Neal Campbell Abroham Neal Software www.dxbase.com www.abrohamnealsoftware.com www.sdrsystems.com (540) 242 0911 Amateur Radio: K3NC Blog: http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/blog/ DXBase bug reports: email to [email protected] Abroham Neal forums: http:/www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/community/ DX Cluster: dxc.k3nc.com port 23 On Sat, Oct 3, 2009 at 11:56 AM, KB2000a <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Neal, > > Congrats! > > Something I would like to see, is an updated country file, instead of > everyone having to constantly due these little add-ons manually.
