Hi all As many of us are trying to use a new version, new OS, reinstall a version, etc. there are many cases where you need to uninstall DXBase. To properly uninstall a version of DXBase:
1. Go to your control panel and select the Add/Remove Programs (in XP) or Programs (in Vista/Win7) 2. Find the DXBase version you want to uninstall. It can take some time for the window to fully populate so if you do not see it immediately, wait a few second. Click on the version and then click on Remove. This button will either be on the line with DXBase (in XP) or Uninstall at the top of the window (in Vista/Win7) 3. After the uninstall process has finished, go to the Program Files folder (if you are running a 32 bit OS) or the Program Files (x86) (if you are running a 64 bit OS). 4. Delete the DXBase program folder. If you have stored your log in that folder, you can rename it to DXBase-old just ensure its still around. 5. Go to the Windows directory (usually called C:\Windows or C:\Windows-NT) and look for the .ini file that corresponds to the deleted version. For instance, if you are uninstalling DXBase 2007 it will be called Dxb2007.ini. Delete this file. 6. Reboot your computer. If you do not follow these steps in this order, you will have artifacts hanging around that will probably give unexpected results when you try to reinstall your program!
