Thanks for that bit of info on the Overide..... I am going to uncheck that box
as ive had trouble in the contests with the program telling my log its the
wrong mode for the frequency.. I guess i should have looked for that myself...
:).. Ive screwed up a few contacts and then submitted them to LoTW and had to
go back and correct them ad re submit them but it worked all ok..

ps: Merry Xmas to everyone .

Merry Christmas to all.

If you uncheck 'Override mode with Band Plan' (in User options/Log Defaults)
it will use mode from previous QSO, or mode from radio when you log the QSO.

As far as I know, using prefix in front or after the call, should be the
same for DXbase. But, it is an important note you giving about LoTW. I
myself my suffer the same for some log entries..

Subject: [Dxbase] Log Entries

I have been going through my logs. I had 3 problems with my logs. If you
do not watch what you click on when you make a log entry and submit your log
to LOTW.

First a during a CQWW SSB contest 0n 40M on 7056.0 I worked MI0LLL logging
program entered in as a CW QSO and I did not catch it and did not receive
LOTW credit cause of it. After 5 years I corrected it. I had a similar
error for a different station during a 160M CW contest and the program
thought it was a SSB QSO instead.

Second thing I worked HK0/EA4DX on 17M. I did not get LOTW credit for that
one as well. After 7 years I sent out and email and found out that the
station submitted his call as EA4DX/HK0 I resubmitted the log entry and got
credit for it on LOTW.

I am not sure but DXbase might not like the HK0 in-front of the call rather
than behind it. Not sure though. I am sure the CW and SSB i am sure all
programs have this issue. So be careful and pay attention to what you click
on and what is being entered.

I had corrected these this week in my log. I got credit for 3 more band
countries that I did not have before.

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year. It is raining here and the snow
is disappearing.

Stay on course, fight a good fight, and keep the faith. Jim K9TF/WA9YSD
