Uhhhh......"working only stations who participate in LOTW." Did I say that???????? I must have missed something. I would agree with you however. I do work a station that has LOTW vs. one that doesn't if I need it for a credit. Beats sending three dollars overseas. I am a buro user but there are more stations than not these days who demand "direct only" QSLs. LOTW may save our hobby.
Regarding the "keep alive." Are you familiar with AR or CC user? You can download that and configure it to send spots through DXBase and you will stay logged in. That is the primary reason I did it. You will have to get someone else on here to explain it because I can't remember.
