Ok this is fixable. Do what I do when I get myself all jammed up. Pour yourself a brandy. Relax and watch the Bears/Vikes game and chill a bit.
It is never good practice to mix and match. It wasn't the Updater, we know that because at first, DXB worked on the other two machines. Here is what I suggest. take your log .mdb file and remove it from DXB, Place it in a safe place with a VERY VERY DESCRIPTIVE NAME. Then create a Folder on you main machine and place your log.mdb from the other machine where you said the the Updater ran correctly into this folder. Then in your Main Computer DXBase folder, you should find a file called Virgin.mdb. It will be empty except for one fake qso with Jack. Copy it, and save it to your main computer DXBase folder Now....again, go to Start, and go to the DXBase folder, select 'DXB Import' You will select the DXBASE 2007 option. When it starts, you tell it to Import that 'good log.mdb file' from the other machine You will be importing the 'good' into the 'Virgin.mdb' which you will give a name 'yourcall.mdb'. That 'should' get you going. Don't rush this....when I've messed up, I do this by the numbers. I write the steps on a legal pad and check them off as I go. After you import, You 'may' have to run the .reg file that Jack gave you and authorizes your ownership of DXB. But I don't think so if you have already run the .reg file on this computer. Good luck. and ..... root for the Chicago Bears tonight! On 12/20/2010 5:51 PM, Crownhaven wrote: > Bill, I am completely overwhelmed at this point. I ran the updater on > one machine and it worked.
