Bill, Thinking about possibly what is going on here -- if you try to take the file from the ZIP program (without actually EXTRACTING it) -- and you call for OPEN (when you right click-on the file name within the ZIP program) -- that action will cause WHATEVER version of Microsoft ACCESS that YOU HAVE on your computer to try and OPEN the mdb file (in this case my scratchpad.mdb file) -- in your case, you apparently have ACCESS2000 on your computer ..
What you have to do is to EXTRACT the file(s) by going to the ZIP program's Main Menu - and under the menu title of ACTION - get the drop-down menu's that are under ACTION and one of the dropdown menu's title is EXTRACT ... use that function vice the OPEN. 73 Joe wa6axe > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] > Subject: RE: [Dxbase] CONVERT TO ACCESS 2000 > Date: Thu, 10 Feb 2011 10:53:48 -0600 > > Joe, > > I tried to use it this morning and it ask me the same thing.
