Greg, Are there multiple error messages or are you getting just one - "There was a problem running the macro. (1037)"? The problem is not with DXB or Win 7, but with Microsoft and their decision to drop support of their own product. You've found how to add the correct program to get the Help file back up (I've forgotten the name - HELP32.exe or something like that.), but now the error message pops up and there is limited functionality in the Help system, specifically no Search ability. If you go back to the Microsoft web site and do some more exploring you will find another topic about the old Help file format that lists another program that can be downloaded to restore full functionality to the Help file. MS recommends that you not do this however, as it fixes the macro problem by reactivating them. Apparently these macros can then be used by hackers to do bad things to your machine. At least that's how I remember it from a few years ago when I got a new machine with Vista.
You may be able to get close to the area you want though by a work around. Click Output/Standard Reports and when the Select Standard Report window opens hit the F1 key. The error message will pop up again, but just close it. The Help manual is now on a page of information regarding reports - Standard Report Names. You can now use the left and right arrow buttons at the top of the page (<< and >>) to step through each of the pages in the reports section. Not sure if you will find what you need, but you can at least see what's there. 73, Gary AL9A ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg Engle" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: March 04, 2011 8:39 PM Subject: [Dxbase] Win & and help files > Ok, I've done the Windows 7 fix so it'll open pre win7 help files.
