1.07 wasn't full of bugs but 1.08 was, mainly because I am using a new installer and bringing the DXBase components up to something supported and released within the last 5 years of so.
I open a group on Yahoo so we can post new files that everyone can always find. Half the reflector noise says Yahoo is the devil and thats it. And yet, there are a hell of a lot of users on the group. I post a screenshot of the new gui and half the reflector noise says, "You changed something and thats it" Yet I haven't sensed a massive migration away from DXBase This year I met an incredibly large group of DXBase users and while there were honest criticisms of the past year (as well as one offer of help on fixing the installer) but the 99.9% majority says "Don't let the noise get you down" and I won't. It was also neat to introduce a lot of new people to DXBase as I had it running on the Flex Radio stand. I didn't think you were awful for asking last year (I think it was the wording of your email that alarmed some) but this year I just don't have any clue how to answer your email. You will never see a project draft from me, I have never seen one yet from a ham software supplier and if you are waiting on mine, you should probably go find someone who will give you that. I am as open as I can be on where I am with DXBase and if the current program suits your needs, please use it. If you are hanging around solely for some expectation in the new version that if you don't see in the immediate future, you should find the software that does meet your needs. Meanwhile, I need to work on 1.09 and not do reflector email. 73 Neal On Sun, Jun 19, 2011 at 5:46 PM, Robert Raines <[email protected]> wrote: > > Well over a year ago everyone came down on me hard for asking Neal when we > would see some screen shots and a project draft of the new version of > DXBase. > > Now that over a year has passed, was I so aweful for asking? > > Every update attempt he has tried to do is full of bugs. > > Looks like someone needs to step up and ask what the currect users can > expect in the future and when. > > ______________________________________________________________ > Dxbase mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[email protected] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > -- Abroham Neal Software www.abrohamnealsoftware.com Work:(540) 645 5394 Mobile:(540) 645 8171 ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
