OK -- I "just" found (once again) the documentation that I used for the
adjustments
that I made to the refdata file earlier this year ... The following is what
was used:

//quote//

Here is a summary of the changes recently adopted by the Russian
telecommunication authorities.

    * Russian prefixes with the numeral 2 are no longer limited to
Kaliningradsk. Stations with RA2 and UA2-UI2 (with F and K as the
first letter in the suffix) are in Kaliningradsk; otherwise, these
prefixes will used in European Russia.
    * Stations with the following prefixes are in European Russia: R1,
      RA1-RZ1 (except RI1 as noted below), R2, RB2-RZ2, R3-R7, RA3-RZ7,
      UA1 and UA3-UI7. Also, stations with the prefixes R8, R9, RA8-RZ9
and UA8-UI9 (with F, S, T, W or X as the first letter in the
      suffix) are in European Russia.
    * Except for those listed above, all stations with 8, 9 and 0 as the
      numeral are in Asiatic Russia.
    * Russian Antarctic stations use temporary call signs in the series
      RI1ANA-RI1ANZ and RI00ANT to RI99ANT.
    * Franz Jozef Land stations use temporary call signs RI1F, RI1FJ and
      RI1FJA-RI1FJZ.
    * Malyj Visotskij island stations use temporary call signs RI1M,
      RI1MV and RI1MVA-RI1MVZ.

/Thanks to SRR President Roman Thomas, R5AA (ex-RZ3AA) for the information./

I have Just finished sending an email to R5AA -- asking him for detailed
guidance on each and every RU prefix ... hopefully he will read and reply to
my email ..

So, for right now -- since my last update made mid 2011 was made using the
above words as HIS guidance -- my refdata.mdb file entries WILL STAND as they
are ... in the case of the callsigns that were reported by Clublog.org
as wrong (prefix) --- I would have to disagree with them ... some of the
callsigns reported were :

Callsign DXbase PFX ClubLog.org PFX
UA9XX UA UA0
UF8T UA UA0
RA9WK UA UA0
RG9W UA UA0
RM8W UA UA0
RN9FBB UA UA0
RT8X UA UA0
RT9S UA UA0
RX9FG UA UA0

EACH of these callsigns (from recent contacts as reported by Eric) falls into
the NOW category of
UA-land (European Russia) -- as stated above from the SRR President (R5AA) ..

As currently made up in the ALIAS Map database in the current refdata.mdb file
--
(for instance)

RA9WK (worked NOW) would be UA prefix ... anything BEFORE the cutoff date of
Feb 28, 2010 would still be UA0 ...

Above provide as FYI -- as I currently am awaiting and hoping for an email from
R5AA with GOOD details ... <fingers-crossed> !!
