Dave, you mis-read my email .. it was not directed at any one person (much less yourself) .. it was directed to everyone .. my webpage has very specific instructions and I am trying to head-off any "self-inflicted by the user" mistakes ... I have exchanged emails with several users who have run into problems .. and asked them for certain things - and, when they follow-thru with their emails to me with the info / files -- I help them out ...
I will help anyone -- if they are willing to help me ... I loved the previous updaters you released but this one didnt seem to set well with my computer. I see some others have had a problem or 2 also but stuff happens. I got mine all straightened out now and all is well for now. With that said having not said much for a couple years and backing DxBase and still Backing DxBase we really need Neal working on this also. Free updated files at least if not updating the program. I would pay for an update but I really dont think the program it self needs a lot. Your doing all the work and Neal is non existent most of the time. All I ever hear is I am so busy ? Hell were all busy , Thats life. Neal you really need to show us something. People are asking you for updates and new features. Me I am happy with it as it is although I would like to be able to narrow the dx spotting window to certain bands and modes but thats about it. Joe please keep up the great work and dont worry its all good :) Neal ...........................? (2) You do not know how to UNZIP a file - so that you can actually extract the enclosed files within the ZIP file. (3) You do not want to use another user's Refdata.mdb file. (4) You are running Windows VISTA or Windows 7; and, you installed DXbase2007 into the Program Files directory on that computer. (5) You ONLY make manual updates to your mdb files. (6) You DO NOT want to use the Entity PREFIXES standardized by the DXbase owner. (7) You are in-doubt about using the program (in any manner/way). NOTE! :: If any of the above are TRUE in your situation - I DO NOT recommend that you proceed with running my program!! PERIOD. This is because the situations listed above are outside of the control of the logic programmed into my Updater program. 73 Joe wa6axe ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html __._,_.___ Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post | Start a New Topic Messages in this topic (2) Recent Activity: Visit Your Group Switch to: Text-Only, Daily Digest • Unsubscribe • Terms of Use . __,_._,___ ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
