hmm..did my best on the flaming..bit rusty I guess..
also, that whole bosses, clients, marketing, blah, blah stuff that keeps coming
up from users, is not important in this case.. because again, DynAPI2 was a
freetime project for most of us.. and then it's a logicall step to go to the
next big thing: DOM only, expanding DHTML in more ways without the tinkering
with browser-compatibility.. doing more stuff easier and having fun with it
(freetime)..not having to care about clients and such (my site isn't event
accessable for ie4,ns4 users..)

if it's already built and done, why this flaming on someone starting a new
project ? :) not even going into splitting, because I'd rather refer to the
size(bloated)-factor...easier.

"the only way to achieve things in opensource is by doing it yourself"
not sure if someone ever said that, but it looks like a solid rule.
final note, look at it like this, Robert, me, and others are pushing DOM
standards, eventually making website designers (dynapi2 users, et al)
capable of using standard javascript code to do their designs.. so we're
basically still doing the same thing: making DHTML easier for others :)
(uhm, might have to read that multiple times before you believe me ;)
I know.. not really flaming.. damn, lost my touch I think.
