I agree. Also dynapi isn't just a layer creation API, it provides
valuable features for GUI building such as listeners, and widgets - and
hopefully integration with xmlj.

I would just like to add that I've had zero response, other than from
Raymond, with regards to better project co-ordination. Maybe I've gone
about this the wrong way - anyone have any better ideas? Don't forget
the IRC get together on Monday. I've been on the # all week and so far
no one has visited :(

Well you're correct, DOM is an API to itself. The same
is true for Microsoft Windows API, but it's much
easier to use visual basic, c++, java or some other
program or library to interface with these APIs.

I like the DynAPI object layout. It's very straight
forward and hides most of the heavy coding and
workarounds from the programmer who want's to focus
more on his program, rather than to focus on what to
do in what browser.
