Do not forget about linux though. Right now, most distros include NS
4. But when Mozilla hits 1.0, then it will be the standard. So
forgetting about NS6 and Mozilla is not very smart. Plus, Mozilla
supports the DOM anyways.
However, none of this answers the original question. Yes, there is a
problem with animated gifs inside of layers. This is not just a
problem in NS 6 however. The best way to get around the animations
stopping is not to use animated gifs at all.
