Well well i seem again to of stirred a few emotions funny how the truth hurts egh.
firstly i dont speak for the developers i speak for myself and i say what i see, perhaps some people choose to lurk instead of jumping in and iam suprised no-one else has mentioned this before, i dont go to a Ford dealer and expect them to sell me a Toyota do i ? what i see is a "dynAPI help" list , now in my eyes that means help on the dynAPI, so how does this Afro thing help people who are trying to get help with the dynAPI ? now iam sure its very good etc , but what is the point in telling people who are *allready* using the dynAPI to download yet another api except this one isnt the DynAPI and has nothing to do with it ,as i have stated before these clones justs adds to the confusion, some people are confused enough as it seems without asking them to download a completely different version and open up yet more bugs, do i post bug reports about his api in sourceforge , where do i get help for it etc etc. Why cant we work together and get this dynAPI project fixed and bug free instead of pissing about with clones, surely many hands make light work instead of too many cooks spoil the broth. surely Michael would be better off advertising his clone elsewhere and starting his own sourceforge project instead of trying to push it to existing dynAPI users, why try and decrease the dynAPI userbase ? , seems like he is merely using this list to meet his own objectives. now flame on or not i dont give a fuck, but i give a fuck about loyalty to a project especially one such as this , i have used dynAPI since it was invented by Dan, but i dont want to this project collapse because of lots of kids, all trying to steal the glory and hard work from the years of work that has been done ,or people will just go and use someone elses api (now we have the dom) so they can have a single point of contact without the bullshit glorytakers. so my main gripe is not his API but the fact that he is using/hijacking this list and the dynAPI project to push not the dynAPI which would be the right thing to do , but his own clone, like wtf is wrong with starting up your own list ? surely that would be a better idea than trying to confuse newbies and beginners by posting about your api on a list directed to a completely different api ? the fact that i dont post a lot don't mean shit i have read this list for a long time ( the beginning) and i only speak when i see something i dont agree with that is free speech no ?, and the only post of Michaels's i have ever read are allways about promoting / bugfixing his API so i dont know what his role is but it doesnt seem that active on the DynAPI ,i try to look at it from a completely new users perspective (which we seem to have a lot of (looking at the ide poll)), iam trying to get into your thick skulls that we need to make the new users learning experience a little easier instead of adding to their frustration. flame on _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp _______________________________________________ Dynapi-Help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dynapi-help
