I fiddled with DynAPI for around 4 or 5 hours tonight, and came to the
conclusion that for the most part it's not really suitable for my needs. It
is way to inflexible, undocumented, and the included samples look like they
were written two years ago. I mean what's up with the label component? Why
does it not allow for css? Why in the heck does it use the <font> tag for
christ sakes?? Why does the list component rely on the label component?
Maybe I am missing something, but since there is no documentation anywhere,
so any time saving benefits of the API are lost totally. If I would have
known this I would have spent the last few hours writing my own widget and
not have wasted my time.

Either way below was the beginning of a DynAPI equivalent to a multi select
box picker using the list component. It works except it is limited by
DynAPI's own limitations, but in case anyone wanted to do something similar
I thought I'd throw it out there to save someone the trouble.
