Hi, I have a similar problem with a equally similar system : P120 (32M Ram), same libraries, same version of E, but a Diamond Stealth 3d 2000 card. (running a XF_S3V server 3.3.2-5) My three-finger salute works though . . . but it is still a pain in the butt to drop whatever I am doing and restart from scratch once in a while. Anyway, I changed my theme, ironically to a more graphically oriented one, and as a result reduced the number of lock-ups. (Obsidian it is now.) Now, I can run Netscape, Eterm, Emacs, and GIMP all in one breath with reasonable confidence. Personally I don't know why or how it works : I'm just another bumbler trying to help.
