Whoever said they were an offshore haven? Whoever said e-gold or Omnipay
was completely private? They keep track precise track of taxes owed. So,
thank you very much for the word of caution, but I'm going to leave a
siginificant value in my e-gold account (NOT egold).

14. Tax Consequences
Any tax consequences of OmniPay transactions are the sole responsibility
of User.

They aren't hiding! This "shell game" is done expressly to protect the
gold! If G&SR/Omnipay were ever to get into trouble then our gold would be
safely shielded in another corporation, e-gold ltd.. They did this because
the gold might have been considered an asset of G&SR/Omnipay even though
they are only holding it in receivorship.
If you only want to use e-gold for trivial transactions, then go right
ahead. e-gold is designed to handle it with ease. As opposed to credit
cards, which have a feasibility limit of between $1 and $15.
