Yes, you get spot price, but last I checked, there was a $5 fee for the transfer. So move $500 at a time to keep the cost at 1%. Move money from E-gold or GoldMoney through Gaithmans at 1%, and the whole transfer into the card account can be done for 2%. There's also a 25cent US (maybe 50cent US) monthly charge for the card.
