I read the book from Murray Rothbard called "What government has done to our money" and it is fantastic. Now I understand why is real metal based currency so important and how reserve/central banks are playing that pyramid game they call "inflation". Anyway, because I develop software I was thinking about money transfer in "electronic gold" world. It is rather simple scheme (see http://lemon.napri.sk/~gunnie/dgc-transfer.png) with description bellow.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ I imagine the system is based on electronic mail as we know today. However all e-mail messages mentioned hereafter are acceptable only as encrypted and signed. Processing of other (normal) messages is rejected. Here we go: Buyer sends a message to deposit A: From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Transfer-By: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The system of deposit A makes the transaction and replies with sending a confirmation which buyer will archive: From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Confirmation of withdrawal Along with that it forwards the message to the bank with attached confirmation of funding the account: From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Transfer-By: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Attachment: (confirmation message) The bank deducts some transaction fees and forwards the message to seller's deposit: From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Transfer-By: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The system of deposit B reacts in same way by sending confirmation of withdrawal to [EMAIL PROTECTED] *and* forwards the initial message together with confirmation of funding to seller: From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Transfer-By: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Attachment: (confirmation message) where (confirmation message) is: From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Confirmation of funding --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.
