Too bad you must not be in a country like Australia where nearly everyone uses Internet Banking. I wouldn't touch Western Union in a pink fit (because of the exorbitant fees), but there are also ways to transfer money in Australia at Post Offices. The last person I paid via Internet Banking sent me details including his bank's SWIFT code which, if your bank offers Internet international transfers (yes, I know hardly any (if any) banks do this already, even in Australia, but I think it is coming soon) then you could do the 'wire' from your armchair. If this is the main advantage PayPal has over Internet gold backed currencies then imagine the scene in two or three years when you can do international electronic transfers from home just like domestic transfers!
