Dear Friends, Recently, my buddy JP May was chastised for using some bad words in a post to "Colonel Bosco" who is, no doubt, a bit more rank than Major Bosco. JP's use of vulgarity was deliberate and significant. Delightfully, he used no profanity while he was about it. (You go JP!)
While I agree that the use of vulgar words is not the best way to convey a sense of moral outrage or establish good credentials as a clever person, I am still of the view that the owner of this list should do as he pleases about it. In all this furor over JP's message, nobody has said much about Steve Schear's use of a naughty word: > while strong pubic key crypto currently starts at > 2048-bits.
