I think if internetdollar had a gold-backed "grams purse"
option, Jim D. might consider THAT a good argument! :) 

I don't know how hard that would be to do, but I'm sure
that e-gold would be more than glad to store your metal.
A number of others have shown interest in this niche, as
this list's readers know.

I suspect Jim considers all dollars a necessary evil, and
therefore he'd object to your currency's dollar-backing
(he may think that his bankers can have his only stake
in that currency).
