hello kane,

if you (or anyone else) tries to login to an account using the
incorrect passphrase more than 10 times in a row, your account
becomes locked out for a period of around 20 minutes. at that
time you can try and login again. if you again get the passphrase
wrong you must wait about 20 minutes before trying again.
every e-gold account works this way. this is something generally
done in login situations to limit rapid attempts to guess account
passphrases.
