a couple more things, device 0:19.0 doesn't show up in lspci any more?

I also was just informed that lenovo typically has a 4MB flash and that
some bios updates might not have the LAN portion of the flash included
in the update.

also, what specific model number of R61 do you have?  I have just found
out there are iAMT enabled versions and non-iAMT versions of the same
laptop.
