I have a Supermicro X8DT3-LN4F board - 5520 with dual onboard 82576EB running 2.6.30.8-64.fc11.x86_64, (igb 1.3.16-k2) and the 4 LAN ports are bonded.
A few times an hour I see one of these errors: do_IRQ: 3.178 No irq handler for vector (irq -1) do_IRQ: 3.186 No irq handler for vector (irq -1) do_IRQ: 3.190 No irq handler for vector (irq -1) do_IRQ: 2.180 No irq handler for vector (irq -1) do_IRQ: 2.118 No irq handler for vector (irq -1) and recently: igb 0000:07:00.1: Detected Tx Unit Hang Tx Queue <0> TDH <f6> TDT <d9> next_to_use <d9> next_to_clean <f6> buffer_info[next_to_clean] time_stamp <2092c8a1c> next_to_watch <8> jiffies <2092c946e> desc.status <3fa20300> igb 0000:07:00.1: Detected Tx Unit Hang Tx Queue <0> TDH <b3> TDT <8e> next_to_use <8e> next_to_clean <b3> buffer_info[next_to_clean] time_stamp <2092c8e36> next_to_watch <c5> jiffies <2092c9801> desc.status <3fa20300> There are no obvious adverse consequences and ethtool -S on all 4 ports show no tx heartbeat errors, which I thought might occur with the TX hangs. Anything to worry about? bond0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:C8:63:C2 inet addr:192.168.3.9 Bcast:192.168.3.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::230:48ff:fec8:63c2/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MASTER MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:4057077202 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:7564829497 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:4224122922784 (3.8 TiB) TX bytes:10175800186568 (9.2 TiB) eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:C8:63:C2 UP BROADCAST RUNNING SLAVE MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:1953872976 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:4679048780 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:2431757614152 (2.2 TiB) TX bytes:6388660262739 (5.8 TiB) Memory:fbee0000-fbf00000 eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:C8:63:C3 UP BROADCAST RUNNING SLAVE MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:394142780 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:1765378597 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:309092907162 (287.8 GiB) TX bytes:2358090948939 (2.1 TiB) Memory:fbe60000-fbe80000 eth2 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:C8:63:C0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING SLAVE MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:413432862 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:689219557 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:441810672806 (411.4 GiB) TX bytes:887847829631 (826.8 GiB) Memory:fb9e0000-fba00000 eth3 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:48:C8:63:C1 UP BROADCAST RUNNING SLAVE MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:1295628584 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:431182564 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:1041461728664 (969.9 GiB) TX bytes:541201145421 (504.0 GiB) Memory:fb960000-fb980000 Regards, Richard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Return on Information: Google Enterprise Search pays you back Get the facts. http://p.sf.net/sfu/google-dev2dev _______________________________________________ E1000-devel mailing list E1000-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/e1000-devel
